A blend’s total mass does not describe how that mass is divided between its components. A useful research order identifies every intended molecule and states whether the requested amounts apply to each component, each container or the complete supplied pool.
Define what is being supplied together

Begin with a component schedule. Each row should identify a molecular form precisely enough to avoid substituting a related fragment, terminal variant or label while leaving the blend’s familiar name unchanged.
State whether the supplier should provide separate materials, a premixed container or several identical pools. A list headed “three peptides” does not establish any of those arrangements.
This is a specification exercise for research materials. The examples do not describe a Novum formulation or recommend combining substances for personal use.
Make totals and component amounts reconcile

On the stated basis, this example requests 10 mg across the three components in a 2:3:5 mass ratio. If two identical pools are required, the request must say whether those numbers apply to each pool or are to be divided between them.
Equal mass and equal amount in moles are different requirements. For hypothetical molecular masses of 1,000 and 2,000 g/mol, equal 1 mg portions contain 1 and 0.5 micromoles respectively. A request for equimolar components therefore needs a defined molecular-mass basis.
Check units row by row. A total assembled from milligrams and micrograms without conversion can be wrong even when every component name is correct.
Specify which composition evidence is needed
Ask whether reported values describe ingredients before pooling, nominal mixing amounts or analytical results on the final mixture. These answer different questions and should occupy separate fields in the supporting record.
Individual component certificates can document the starting materials without independently measuring the amount of each component in the finished pool. If final-mixture quantification is essential, request its scope explicitly.
A single blend-wide chromatographic percentage should not silently replace component-specific amount requirements. The measurement needs to address the particular property being claimed.
Preserve the final component schedule
Attach a dated version of the schedule to the enquiry and check that the quotation refers to it. If a component changes, revise the schedule visibly and ask for confirmation of the new version.
Document tolerances or unresolved measurement limitations where they matter to the study. Do not invent an acceptable deviation because a supplier has not stated one; the researcher must decide what the intended comparison can support.
The finished specification should allow someone to reconstruct the intended identities, proportions, number of pools and evidence requirements without relying on a blend nickname or an earlier conversation.
